TOPS Classic Wine Tasting Curated wines, good company and the story behind every glass Some wines are remembered for their label. Others for the person who poured them, the story that came with them or the table where they were first enjoyed. The annual TOPS Classic Wine Tasting returns to River Club, St Francis Bay on Thursday, 24 September 2026, bringing together a selection of wine estates for an afternoon that celebrates more than what is in the glass. From 15h00 to 20h00, guests will be able to taste their way through a hand-picked collection of wines, meet the people behind the brands and discover bottles worth taking home. It is an afternoon for those who enjoy wine with character, conversation with ease and a setting that allows the experience to unfold without being rushed. The tasting will be complemented by live music and canapés, with snacks prepared by Barney’s River Club. The restaurant will open from 18h00, making it easy to stay on after the tasting and turn the afternoon into an evening. This annual tasting has become a date worth keeping for local wine lovers, visitors and anyone who enjoys finding a new favourite before it becomes everyone else’s.
