The REACH WOMEN Conference is a Christian conference for women held in Cape Town. In 2026 we are running two events. SAME CONFERENCE - TWO DATES - TWO LOCATIONS You are currently seeing info for: Saturday 22nd August at Christ Church Somerset West from 08h45-12h15 The conference seeks to REACH WOMEN with the gospel of Jesus Christ by connecting them to God in His Word. You can expect solid bible teaching, vibrant praise and worship, as well as hearing from other women as they share how the gospel has impacted their lives. Our 2026 conference is called "More than a feeling". Our emotions are God-given gifts intended for growth, as we navigate this broken world. But managing our emotions can be so tough. As Christian women, we need help engaging with our complex emotions like fear, anger and grief before the Lord, rather than suppressing, venting or ignoring them. We will be exploring what God says to us in His word to help us to move from being stuck and overwhelmed by our emotions, to using them for growth in our faith and relationships. Our conference speaker is Sandra Lyons. Included in the ticket price is: The morning conference (2 sessions)Tea or coffee and a brownie during the refreshment break, as well as a bottle of water on arrival. (Please note - no provisions have been made for special dietary requirements). WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE! Loads more info here - www.reachwomen.org.za

Hey Girl Conference 2026

Friend of God Church - Goodwood Campus Cape Town, Western Cape

HEY GIRL CONFERENCE 2026 — Wild Grace in the Wilderness is a gathering for women from every season of life to encounter the grace, presence, and goodness of God. Sometimes life leads us through wilderness seasons — moments of uncertainty, disappointment, waiting, loss, rebuilding, or simply feeling weary. Yet even there, God remains faithful. His grace still carries us, restores us, and reminds us that we are never walking alone. Inspired by the heart behind Rachel Kolisi’s journey of resilience, faith, and learning to move forward through life’s challenges, this conference is an invitation for women to rediscover hope, healing, courage, and purpose in every season. Through worship, powerful ministry, honest conversations, and meaningful connection, we believe God will meet every woman personally — bringing streams in the desert and strength for the journey ahead. Join us for a beautiful morning of faith, encouragement, and community as we gather together for HEY GIRL CONFERENCE 2026. Friend of God Goodwood Campus | 22 August 2026 | 09:00 -12:00

For the first time in a decade, siblings Colette, Johan and Lisa reunite for a winter holiday on the South African coast. Each has built a life elsewhere to escape the instability of their childhood and the long shadow of their mother, Annatjie. The mood shifts when Colette reveals she has invited her to join them. Annatjie arrives like a hurricane, pulling the family back into old patterns of resentment, survival mechanisms and unfinished history. As the days pass, Annatjie’s presence starts dissolving the distance the siblings have put between them and their past, drawing them back into roles shaped by obligation and dependency. Each of them is forced to ask how much of their lives still orbit around her gravity, and whether that hold can ever be broken. Landmyn is an intimate chamber drama about inherited trauma, obligation and the difficult act of letting go. Theatre on The Bay Cape Town, Western Cape

The Silwerskerm Festival builds on its offering of independent short films. Traditionally the majority of short films screened at the festival was initiated, financed and mentored by the Silwerskermfees Short Film Project. This year, yet again, the festival boasts independent short films by local filmmakers in a variety of genres and indigenous South African languages. Jody, a tenacious young woman, lives and works on a horse farm in the Klein Karoo. After Dino, the handsome stable hand, teaches her to ride horses, she falls for him. Soon, Jody discovers Dino is an ex-addict, indebted to Saalie, the local kingpin who runs a drug trafficking operation. To work off his debt, Dino works as a “bosryer” (bush rider) running tik (crystal meth) on horseback by moonlight to evade the police. When Dino relapses, Jody is forced to do the dangerous run on his behalf – or he will be killed. Jody proves herself to be a very capable “bosryer” and finds herself in a world of trouble. This category, which offers established filmmakers funding and a platform to showcase their craft at the festival, is part of the festival for the third time this year. A condition for participation in the category is that the filmmakers mentor less-experienced team members. When their beloved grandmother Poppy dies, siblings Laila and Josh return to the Namaqualand farm where they spent most of their lives. For Laila, it’s clear: Poppy must be buried beside her parents on the land where generations of their family once lived. But the farm has changed hands, and the new owners deny permission for the burial . Laila refuses to accept this and decides to fulfil Poppy’s wish. But what does it truly mean to honour those we have lost? And what does it cost to claim a past that no longer has a place for you? During a church service, Kyleigh celebrates her engagement as an affirmation of the life she has chosen: one of faith, family and community. But when Lara, a woman she once loved, quietly enters the room, the mood of the morning shifts. As they make polite conversation the past starts pressing gently but persistently against the present. As ek kon kies examines how one moment can shatter certainty, and it asks whether the love you choose, is the love you believe you deserve. When a car accident kills his mother and his father retreats into a clinic, seventeen-year-old Gabriel Lombard is uprooted from the leafy mountain suburbs and is sent to live in a cramped Woodstock house with his aunt Lotta and grandmother Lenie. Determined not to crumble like his father, he buries his grief behind a cool front, wild lies and an overripe imagination, where a Kaapse Klopse brass band chases him through the streets. In therapy, he meets Sasha and falls for her. To get closer to her, he is strong-armed into the school poetry slam. But the nearer the competition comes, the harder his buried grief pushes to the surface, until the boy who runs from everything must finally turn and face it. Masood Boomgaard LIVE in Cape Town at The Capital 15 on Orange, Cape Town 22 August 2026

The Capital 15 On Orange Hotel & Spa Cape Town CBD Cape Town, Western Cape

Masood Boomgaard - LIVE In Cape Town at The Capital 15 on Orange, Orange St, Gardens, Cape Town, 8001 For the past three years, Durban-born comedian Masood Boomgaard has lived out a whirlwind reality that sounds less like a standard comedy tour and more like an international takeover. Armed with a sharp wit, Boomgaard has traversed over 35 countries, filling iconic venues across New York, London, Sydney, Dubai and Toronto. He didn’t do it alone. He brought along Self-Help Singh, his wildly popular viral alter-ego, a brutally honest, "demotivational guru" whose content has amassed over two million followers and hundreds of millions of views globally. But after a gruelling schedule of planes, trains, and sold-out international theatres, Boomgaard is bringing the global phenomenon back to where it all began for a highly anticipated, limited-run South African homecoming tour........
