Adam Small Auditorium Stellenbosch, Western Cape

With David Viviers Moffie made its world premiere in London in 2024 to rave reviews, including a 5-star rating from The Guardian, before enjoying a sold-out season at The Baxter Theatre in 2025. This is a gripping, visceral exploration of identity, masculinity, repression, and the lasting scars of institutionalised violence. Set in the brutal world of the South African Defence Force in the 1980s, this stage adaptation of André Carl van der Merwe's novel dives deep into the pressures of military conscription, a world where conformity is law and any difference is met with violence. Skanse

Open Window Campus Stellenbosch, Western Cape

Regisseur en skrywer Deon Opperman 'n Ko-produksie van die Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees, KKNK en die Suidoosterfees ********************************************************************************************************** DEBUT Met Dawid Minnaar, Edrien Erasmus, Deon Lotz, Marisa Drummond, Rushney Ferguson When Daniël returns after seven years abroad, his brother Simon’s carefully constructed fortress of alarms, cameras, and certainty begins to crumble. Atropa

Open Window Campus Stellenbosch, Western Cape

Met o.a. Lanoye se spierkragtige vertaling is sy eerste vertaling in Afrikaans.

CRYBABY

Open Window Campus Stellenbosch, Western Cape

HAIRSPRAY – THE BROADWAY MUSICAL | Die Centurion Teater

Centurion Theatre Johannesburg, Gauteng

HAIRSPRAY – THE BROADWAY MUSICAL Big Hair. Bigger Dreams. The Biggest Musical of the Year. Making its long-awaited return to the professional stage for the first time in more than a decade, Hairspray – The Broadway Musical explodes onto the stage at Die Centurion Teater in a bold, high-energy theatrical event packed with larger-than-life characters, iconic musical hits and explosive choreography.“Welcome to the 60s!” Step into 1960s Baltimore — a world of television dance shows, bright lights and even brighter personalities. At the centre of it all is Tracy Turnblad: fearless, funny and unapologetically herself. When she lands a spot on the city’s hottest TV show, she doesn’t just chase fame — she challenges the system, breaks boundaries and proves that big dreams belong to everyone. What follows is a vibrant celebration of inclusion, courage and standing up for what’s right — all wrapped in one of Broadway’s most infectious scores. From “Good Morning Baltimore” to the powerful “I Know Where I’ve Been” and the electrifying finale “You Can’t Stop the Beat,” this Tony Award-winning musical delivers hit after hit and massive ensemble numbers that lift audiences to their feet, performed by a stellar cast of talented South African performers. From the creative team behind Cabaret (2024) and the sell-out hit Sweeney Todd – The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2025), this production brings the same immersive touches and bold staging audiences have come to expect — colour spilling beyond the stage, movement filling the space and the pulse of the 60s running through the theatre. When that final beat drops — you won’t want to be anywhere else. Tidal Deeds - A Heritage Walking Tour From Muizenberg to Kalk Bay

The Hans and Lloyd Coffee Co Cape Town, Western Cape

We finally return to paradise this weekend! Please please please join us for our most scenic adventure on the entire circuit this Sunday at 14h00 to relish False Bay without quite so many non-local tourists... Are you a Cape Town local missing feeling like a tourist? Or a Wes-Kaap tourist dreaming of becoming a local? Then you've stumbled on the perfect event blurb for you... The mini-riviera strip between the antique Muizenberg station and the majestic cocktail bars of Kalk Bay has been handed down to us as 'millionaires' mile'; not just due to its nouveau richy-riche citizenry, but because the wealth of history, architecture, botany, geology, zoology, gastronomy, spalaeology, anecdote, esoterica and human interest it still showcases are enough to enrich us all whilst still remaining (mostly) free to wander. Having been Cape Town's default getaway since the 18-bladdy-80's, I want to revitalise and totally reimagine this space for you as the true birthplace of South African leisure-time. For more than five generations, this nook in the hook of the Cape has been mixed in every sense of the word - its legacy is preserved for us through the descendants of prodigal surfers, infamous Randlord speculators, stowaway Filipino sailors, press-ganged West African soldiers, ex-pat Mediterranean artisans and the cream of South African fishermen. Likewise, its face has changed constantly, and its old denizens and facades are perhaps more unrecognisable and fascinatingly strange to its current lovers than any other spot in the country past Adderley Street... Also, rest assured, this is a fully automated luxury tour in which all the classic tales will be regaled of the Battle of Muizenberg and Rhodes's expiration in his Cottage whilst we frequently stop for ice-cream, tourist pictures and erudite banter. So please, drop all the vague content-less plans you had for this Saturday morning to come relish the stories, sights and casual insanities of the space where George Bernard Shaw finally learned to boogie-board... Save your questions, your snacks and all your best instincts for intrigue, and meet me at 14h00 on Sunday in front of Hans & Lloyd Coffee Company to traipse all the way to Mount Olympia... Yours,Cameron of CTHT P.S. If you've read this far I'm guessing you'll want even more of the specs, so here goes:- We start at Hans & Lloyd and end at Olympia Cafe, so use a two-car system with friends or walk back to Muizenberg with me after the tour finishes to save yourself from being marooned in Cape to Cuba...- We've just put up our ticket prices for the first time in two-and-a-half years, from R120pp to R150pp. Obviously this is just to keep with inflation and to allow the tours to remain a sustainable enterprise for the foreseeable future, but this is still about R50 less per person than our nearest competition. In other words, we are deliberately undercharging the tours so as to keep them affordable for locals and visitors alike and to encourage guests to come back weekend after weekend.- Book via Quicket, WhatsApp us on , E-mail us on cameronlukepeters812@gmail.com or Message us via the buttons on our home page to secure your place.- We have also just introduced a broad scheme of discounts you can apply for on each tour, so please do consult the list below before contacting us!- And we've decided to partner with a different local NGO or charity for each and every one of our tour routes so that R10 of every ticket purchased goes directly to a good, sustainable, local cause. For the False Bay tour, we've chosen to fund-raise for Waves for Change and you can inspect their brilliance here:https://waves-for-change.org- This is a consistently well-reviewed heritage-focused walking tour; which is to say that all you'll need to enjoy yourself is curiosity about Cape Town's past (and History in general) and enough stamina to walk just less than 3km in one afternoon (with stops and snacks).- If you're rejoining us, please please please please please please consider dropping us a short (or extensive) review on our Facebook Reviews or Google Reviews section as it will help spread our gospel of curiosity and playful appreciation across the internet and across the spectrum of all potential visitors to the Cape. It helps us more than you can believe!- You can also add an optional R10 donation on your ticket which will go directly to the NGO Streetscapes as part of our mission to spread love, enthusiasm, mutual support and respect for all of Cape Town's people and histories. Just think how many people we could help and the difference we could make with a few hundred tours!- Feel absolutely free to spread the word, invite friends who've been looking for this kind of experience and badger us with every imaginable heritage query. We live for it! Can't wait to meet ya, really! THE CTHT DISCOUNT LIST:1. Guests over 65 and under 18 can claim a 33% discount on each ticket, at R100pp pre-booked.2. If you buy tickets for both the Saturday and Sunday tours on one weekend, you can claim R50 off each ticket, at R200pp pre-booked.3. If you buy a Cape Town Heritage Tours Tote-Bag or any of our books on sale at our Half-Booked Online Shop, you can claim a free tour voucher for each piece of merchandise.4. You can buy individual advance vouchers for our public tours at R150 each and then message in the week before a scheduled tour. But you can also buy value-packs of five for the price of 4 (R600), 10 for the price of 7 (R1050) or all 18 for the price of 10 (R1500).5. If you bring 2 or more friends on a weekend tour you can claim R30 back on each of your tickets, at R120pp pre-booked.6. If you share the posts promoting individual tours you can claim R30 back as well, at R120pp.7. Likewise if you recommend the tours to a friend who then attends a weekend tour, you can claim 50% off your next ticket, at R75pp pre-booked. See ya next weekend!
